Perfect for storing and preserving fruit and vegetables, our space saving Kilner Wide Mouth Preserving Jar has a large capacity of 1 litre, allowing you to fill it up and store away. It features a 2 piece lid system which comprises of a tin disc and screw band to ensure a secure vacuum seal is acheived, keeping your contents fresh for longer. With a wide mouth opening, it allows you to easily fill and decant in a mess free and uncomplex way. To help further, the jar is embossed with ML volume indicators on the the side as well as its Kilner logo at the front.

Excellent jars for storing any thing really, the wide mouth or top, whichever word you choose to use is again excellent I have been storing rice in my jars and the wide mouth make it so easy to use and not spill anything. The price was really good and delivery was great. You will not be sorry for buying these, nice to handle and easy to store in cupboard. Good quality jar with a wide mouth that is easy to fill. My only complaint is the quality of the lid which went rusty quite quickly, it is still usable but don’t know how long it will last.

These 1 litre kilner jars are perfect if you’re culturing different things. It’s perfect for making milk and water kefir. Also good if you do cultured vegetables. I like the straight sides as it’s easy to fit a weight on top to keep vegetables submerged to prevent any mould forming. Easy to store, especially in the fridge

I’m going to use mine for pickling beetroot and I’m going to buy the smaller ones for breakfast oats with fruit. I make 2 at a time and refrigerate so the smaller one will be ideal

Properly brilliant bit of useful kit, I shall be buying many more. If you’re into saving money and storing food for the coming apocalypse these bad boys are the key, stop the kids from having to live on roasted frogs whilst you figure out how to gather clean water at the end of the world and invest in the best, most practical option. This beats having to eat the kids when the locusts rule the world, you know it makes sense.
